Income limits raised for property tax exemptions
Written by Cindy Carrigan
Spokane County Assessor Tom Konis says the income limit for senior citizens, people with disabilities, and veterans with disabilities seeking property tax exemptions for the 2024 tax year has increased to $50,000 annually, from $40,000 previously. Under a new law enacted last year, thresholds for the tax-relief program will be adjusted every three years instead of every five years.
If you wish to challenge the current assessed value of your Spokane County home, you can learn more about the appeal process here.
